Cornerstone Caregiving asks that each employee makes every reasonable effort to report to
their assigned shift. Employees should take weather, traffic, and distance from employee's home
to client's home into account. Clients depend on the company to maintain their quality of life,
and in many cases, their well-being is dependent on a caregiver being present. Absenteeism or
tardiness may result in corrective action up to and including suspension or dismissal from the

EMERGENCY CALL-OFF POLICY
Caregivers are to give at LEAST a 24 hour notice if needing to be unassigned from a shift. We
understand that life sometimes gets in the way at what seems to be the most inconvenient
times. In the event that you are unable to give more than a 24 hours notice for a call-off, we will
REQUIRE documentation. Due on the same day of the call-off. This can be presented in many
ways to prove your call-off reasoning. Once documentation is provided, your call-off will be
excused and will NOT count against you. Please communicate with management as quickly and
efficiently as possible if you believe you have an emergency preventing you from reporting to
your schedule.
